Over his more than 10 years of Physiotherapy practice, James has gained a wealth of experience working in the UK National Health Service, private practice and professional sports sectors. He continuously strives to improve his clinical knowledge and has completed further training in manual therapy and spinal manipulation, Clinical Pilates, IMS/dry needling and traditional Chinese acupuncture.

With a passion for golf and understanding the desire to minimize the limitations one’s injuries pose to a becoming a more skilled player, James also became a qualified Titleist Performance Institute practitioner. This means he is trained in identifying how the body functions during the golf swing by recognizing certain characteristics and physical limitations, with the goal of improving player performance and injury prevention.

With James’ experience, he is able to treat a wide range of clients, including those suffering from acute complaints, complex post-operative conditions to the amateur/high level athlete. He incorporates a patient-focused approach to treatment, utilizes his skills in manual therapy, and promotes Pilates and exercise prescription. A strength of his is he can highlight specific areas that need further focus by combining manual therapy techniques with observing the body’s stability and movement on the Pilates reformer. As a result, this aids clients in reaching their goals of higher level function and enables a return to their activities/sports.

James commits his spare time to climbing and mountaineering training, and he has ascended a number of mountains throughout the Alps. These experiences make him fully aware of the dedication needed to achieve personal goals, the frustrations of injuries affecting such achievements, and therefore the importance of preventative treatment and rehabilitation.

As a father to an amazing young daughter, he is looking forward to having a new hiking buddy by his side to experience the delights British Columbia has to offer.
