Graduating with Dean’s List honours, Michael completed the 3,000 hour Massage Therapy program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in early 2020. Prior to graduating from VCMT, Michael also obtained a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Northern British Columbia. It was here that he cultivated his interest in anatomy and physiology, but most of all, his interest in rehabilitation of injuries sustained in daily activities, sport, and the gym.
Michael is at his best when using a combination of techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point release, joint mobilizations, dynamic release, and myofascial release. He also has certification with Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). When booking in to see Michael, a client can expect a keen eye for assessment and a flexible treatment approach as he understands that each individual will require their own unique blend of modalities.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys strength training. With over 10 years of weight room experience, he aims to compete in powerlifting competitions in the future. Other interests of his include basketball, volleyball, adorable dogs, and good food.
